Default Manual to Auto?

I have seen many auto to manual thread but is there any manual to auto threads?

Also, is it possible to use mine same single cam zc motor with an auto tranny and ecu? And if so from which car should I get my ecu and tranny?

I don't care if you don't like the idea, I'm converting the car for my wife since I'm getting another crx. If you have nothing helping me to post then keep it to your self.

yup. all d series motors will bolt up to a d series trans. you will have to cut out the tunnel to fit the auto shifter into the car. i reccomend going to the j/y and tracing out a template of what the hole should look like on a piece of card board or something. the hardest part, however, will be the wiring... i'd suggest getting another cabin harness from a crx that is an auto (civic will work too) and fish out all the wires that are related to the auto trans. you'll also need an automatic engie harness.

j/w, why are you converting a car to an auto trans if you have one that is in good working condition already?

I would park/sell the manual crx, and buy an auto crx (way cheaper than manuals around here) and put the rest in a CD account and sit on it until you retire...

Just my .02.

jarred got it, but here is more info.

fully restored crx si 90 (single zc, auto)
interior restored (stock, auto)

i may be purchasing a 88hf with the stock motor as a daily then swap a d15z1 in it to get 70+ mpg. she wants a sun roof and a/c and my 90 si has everything but she still sucks at stick so i figured it would probably be easier just swapping that instead of a roof and a full a/c system lol.

it would be even easyer to teach her how to drive stick. but like allready said your gona have to cut a hole in the floor the hole might actually allready be there but covered. and your gona need the auto ecu. theres also wireing that goes to the shifter for the saftey switch but you could get by with out it. i had everything you would need but i threw it away.
