Best Head Gasket for 30psi help!
Ok guys I just had my car tuned last week and the head gasket is already starting to leak alittle oil right above the engine block code where the tranny bolts to the block. The car made great power on c16 it made 670whp at 30psi on hi-boost and 480 at 16psi on low-boost. I jst want this thing to stay together whats the best head gasket to buy?? The block is a b18c with AEBS sleeves with a bore of 84mm. It has a inline pro gasket on it now. Just didn't know if there was anything better out there. Thanks for the help
Yes I did a search couldn't find anything that could answer this question.

oem imo! and use arp head bolts with the molly lube and torque to spec, i add 3 more lbs becouse the motor will be run hard espessially boosting 30 psi i believe 67 ft lbs on the final torque. also ive seen manny times were oil comes from many other places and makes it look like its the head gasket but it ends up bieng like the dist. or vtec sol. or cam seal or v.c gasket ect..
oem or golden eagle imo! both work great. Here is a similar thread as to what a lot of people are running. https://honda-tech.com/forums/drag-racing-36/what-head-gasket-you-guys-running-30-40psi-2603255/

ive seena few gsr headgaskets leak oil right there... get a new oem gasket and spray hylomar on it, you wont have any more problems. you cna probably get it at most machine shops... at least around here you can.. otherwise order online.

67 ft/lbs sounds kinda low for arp studs with moly lube. i thought 61-64 ( dont remember) is stock headbolts....i thought arp's were aroiund 80ft/lbs.
thanks guys and yes its leaking from the head gasket not the cam seal or vtec sol. I've checked it a few times now. It just sucks becasue all the miles put on the head gasket were on the dyno!!
Sounds like someone put that thing together horribly or maybe the gasket you had was faulty? Perhaps you should have the head or deck checked out?
could it be a erl block i know that the step deck process could cause problems like this as the sleves stick up .001 to .003 above the deck for better sealing around the sleves but sacrivices sealing in other areas
im sure the OP's issue is a cam seal or dizzy seal
IT IS VERY VERY RARE TO HAVE OIL FROM A HEADGASKET. That is not your problem, It's def. a problem with the head seals. My car does the same thing, and they all will if you valve cover is not vented to a catch can. You can replace all your seals up there, but without venting it will keep wiping them out. Its a combo of your valve cover, cam seals, and the dizzy o-ring!!! Pull the head if you really want, but thats not normal AT ALL!!!!!
If you are going to replace the had gasket, OEM is the way to go. I get mine from golden eagle, since they will match the bore size. You can even call golden eagle, ALL THEIR HEADGASKETS are OEM honda gaskets, they just cut them for whatever bore.....
ARP head bolts get torqued to 80-85 lbs.
Go check those seals again, or do a sniffer on the head gasket, I'll bet money it's not it. You would have coolant issues, not oil leaking out. It is a slight chance, but customers always bring cars in thinking the same thing, and it's ALWAYS the seals. Go get some -10 fitting and put them on the cover and vent that thing!!!

miss info there step decking does not sacrifice any other sealing at all
