Is this a joke? There is absolutely no way a 235/60-15 tire will fit on a '93 GS-R without rubbing big-time. It's TOO BIG.

The stock tire size on a '93 GS-R is 195/60-14, which has an outer diameter of 23.2". The outer diameter of the 235/60-15 is 26.1", and it's also 40 mm (about 1.5") wider.

For 15" wheels on your car, you can use either 195/55-15 or 205/50-15.

when the car is making 600+whp the 205/50 doesn't quite do the job.....

If the car is daily driven..why not turn down the boost and be happy with a 205-50-15 tire? What is the car mainly used for?

So a bigger tire that won't fit in the wheel wells, that will be ripped to shreds by the suspension and fenders, will?

you guys don't go in the drag racing forum much, do you? this is the most popular tire used for street driven big power fwd cars.... there are plenty of people running them on a daily basis, so they must be doing something right....

It WON'T FIT on an Integra without rubbing. Not unless he's done some unusual, drastic mods to the body and/or suspension, anyway - which he hasn't mentioned.

If the poster doesn't specify that he has done extensive mods to the vehicle, how are we to know? I talk to tons of people everyday who hear/see/read about this and that tire size for their vehicles, but have no idea if they will fit or what kind of mods they will need to do in order to make it fit.

the car has all the supporting mod to support the hp full drag suspension etc. My boy ran the same tire on his EG but forgot what offset etc he ran (3 years ago) and he ran a 10.2 on these tires. So i was looking for some insight. Thanks

OP, we do not know how low your car is as if it might hit the wheel wells. you have to run a tire that matches the offset and width of the rim. you want to run a 235 size tire on a 15x7 right? so get the 35mm offset and run 10mm or 15mm spacers. if i can recall their was an article about offset and tire sizing in honda-tunning a while back called "why offset matters". look it up and it will tell you exactly how to measure tire sizing according to the width and offset of the rim. you dont always have to run a 195 or 205.....depending on how low your car is.
