Can a Fm tranmitter (power by cigertte) be modded to power by cd deck?
is it possible to mod a fm transmitter thats power by a a cigarette to be power by a cd deck instead of a cigarette adapter??, if so how would you, what wires would ur connect it too?
oh hell no, you can't power something with the amps remote wire unless it consumes somewhere in the neighborhood of 5w max. that remote wire is to only turn on a solid state relay in the amp. if you just want something to "turn on" when the amp "turns on" then jump power from the hu's acc/ground power supply, but i would recommend using a relay instead of drawing your supply from that wire, how much power does this fm transmitter consume?

u could just run a new power wire from the battery with a fuse... or u can use the constant 12v accy in the interior fuse box..using your radio 12v for more than one device isnt recommended especially for stock wires
What is the MM&Y of the car?
Most Honda/Acura under dash fuse boxes have "free pins", [power outlets for adding electrical options to your car, you will find at least one 12V+ constant, [hot at all times] one 12V+ 2nd ign., [hot in run] a park light free pin, [hot when park lights are on] and depending on MM&Y more 12V+ constants and maybe even an acc. free pin, [hot in acc. and run]. 94

pick up a female cigarette lighter outlet at a local auto store, it will have two wires coming out of the end of it... one positive and one negative.
now pull out your radio, find the red wire behind the radio (ACC).
splice the positive lead of the outlet to the red wire, then splice the negative lead of the outlet to the Black wire coming out of the radio.
now if there is a wire coming out of your FM transmitter (to connect to your audio source) you can hide the whole setup behind your dash(except the wire, you can drill a small hole somewhere in your dash and pull it out for acess).
that should be about it
