lol. eaxactly. he should either cut the heatshield off now, or weld it on good before it falls halfway off.

It looks to me like SMSP already welded tack welded the heatshield. Nice purchase mine doesn't rattle or make a noise.

 

Dave welded mine up also... no rattling here...

Zeus- who's R can fly... but can't make the cat rattle...

 

hopefully it doesn't fall apart. dave already sent me 2 and this one is now falling apart, they seem to be cheaply made, but his welds are great

 

the tack wields seem ok, im not too worried about that , but i am worried about the catalyst material falling apart. i know hella people who have complained about that, but i also know a few people who have had no problems with their carsound cats.

but what other choice is there??? you cant use the stock cat and the s2k cat costs $600+ from my acura dealer......what else is out there?? i have also some friends who have had random technology cats fall apart as well....

i dont wanna pollute, so i want to run a cat, but does anyone else have another suggestion besides the carsound cats?

I took my heatshields off. Doesn't seem to make the car any warmer inside, no rattling, no complaints at all for that matter.

I've have been using the 94006 carsound cat modified by SMSP for 3 months now. No problems except for the O2 sensor clearance issues, which I fixed a month ago (I have the old style, you shouldn't have a problem with clearances).

 

what other mods do you have on your car?? how many miles do you think you put on the cat? what does your A/F look like?
