Carsound sucks *** IMO.
Mine rotted out within 6 months, and I had my car tuned.
I doubt any aftermarket high flow cats will last over a year typically.
I run a gutted Carsouns now since the insides rotted.

The emmissions gods are going to kill me but go straight pipe. I did because it was my only option without cutting my cat back which I didn't want to do since there was litteraly only 3 inches between my down pipe and cat back. Instead I extended my down pipe 3 in. to bolt directly to my cat back and it is better IMO.
But to answer your question, I hear most people going with Carsound but I have also heard that Catco is pretty good too.

Well IMO Catco sucks too. My pal's Catco went out within 3 months, and I've known others to have the same problem with Catco.
Random Technology sucks too. They're in GA and so many Ga people hjave had theirs rot out on them too.

Well a 2.5'' cat will certainly flow better than a 2'', right? I mean I guess that's the idea, but I can't say for certain eh?
I've known people to still pass emissions with high flow cats before they rotted out though, so they do work well if they are still intact.

exactly. most all high flow cats have a shitty life span
as for flowing, Carsound is one of the better ones.

It starts to rattle really loud. My carsound went out within 4 months or so.
I suggest that if you go with carsound get some extra welds on the heatshield, and down the line if it begins to rattle, then you know its the honeycomb inside that burnt out.

Re: carsound cat or magnaflow?
Almost all if not all aftermarket cats are CRAP compared to the stock units...
they use MUCH cheaper catalyst materials and generally fail WAY WAY faster then anything out of honda ever would...
I pulled my cat at 160k miles or so and it looked brand new inside...
The catco I replaced it with is still fine as of now... but I'm sure it's only a matter of months before it goes...
only redeeming factor for aftermarkets are that they're DIRT cheap compared to stock...
I'd say if it's for a daily driver... don't even bother.. the stock cats flow pretty well anyway... if it's for drag... swap to a straight pipe at the track.
