Code 14 obd1 IACV?
OK, i have a 91 honda civic Hatch with obd1 conversion Also MPFI conversion.
I got my car back after the conversion ran fine no lights at all. I drive it a week it throws A code I get 1 long 4 shorts Flashes. For IACV I replace the IACV with a Used "good" one that i bought here on honda tech. However it is differnt from mine but it bolts right up plugs directly to my skunk2 Intake manifold. It seems to run the same.
The reason its weird is my car WILL not idle cold I have to keep my foot on the throttle a tad intill the car is fully warmed up about 5 mins of driving. I ask some guys at the shop that did the conversion and they said that is "symptom" of a billet throttle body (68mm bdl ind). And when they check it for codes it wasnt throwing anything he may need it to be on a cold start. It was a hot day and I didnt have all day that day so i drove it home. Ive been dailying it for the bast 3 months the way it is.

Not sure if it would matter between B series motors. But since its bolted up, are the coolant lines hooked up right? You mentioned that you had an after market throttle body, does it allow coolant to be passed though it and then to the IACV? Or did you bypass?
Have you followed the flow chart and checked resistance, shorts voltage on the terminals on the IACV?

I checked the wiring its good. To the extent of connected right. I didnt check it witha voltage meter. Im pretty sure the coolant lines are good but i could switch them around and see if its that.

does it have the correct connector plugged into the IACV? - it is a 2-wire connector with blue with yellow stripe and black with yellow stripe wires - if the engine harness was originally DPFI, the connector is green in color
we see a lot of swaps on DPFI cars that have the connector for the Tandem Contol Valve plugged into the IACV - it is also a white 2-wire connector with orange and black with yellow stripe wires - it shouldn't be plugged into anything

Its a green 2 wire plug with black yellow and blue and yellow. Im starting to think its the iacv again.
