Brakes Locking up After EX Upgrade WTF
hmm Interesting push rod how can that be adjusted I see the booster rod going to the brake peddle and has a nut. Are you talking about the big nut on the actual booster rod?
Abn,
thanks for your comment, upon further investigation I have found out the problem is this. the push rod needs adjustment. I found a link while on google.

thanks ABN!
hopefully the link helps others as well. yea the search engine sucks I searched people were rambling about other things like hose calipers etc. I know it wasn't any of those. thanks for reply.

problem came back this morning. looks like problem only happens in the mornings. I did some high speed runs yesterday night didn't have any problems. now this morning started having same lockup problems..****.
dont cool down your brakes with water. youre effectively tempering the metal. not a good idea, especially when the cooling is uneven around the rotor. youre not doing anything beneficial at least. just let it cool down naturally next time.
so.... did you do the booster test?

Yes, its all fine now. Tested the OEM booster fine. I love this setup. I have about 200lbs worth of music **** in the trunk and brakes handle like a charm. Anyone with an EF, should upgrade to DA/EX Setup. Peddle effort is nice and so much brake torque for this little car. I don't think you would need anything else in the rear still drums. Pretty balanced with nice tires you can't really lock them up. Looks like tempering with the metal with water didn't have any effect which is good. I was thinking it was actually better I guess not. I saw volks did heat the rims and cooled it down in water..thought I try the same. Anyways OEM rotors for the WIN! thanks to everyone who replied with suggestions, much appreciate it.
tempering metal is a scientific process. performing some random extreme cooling too fast can negatively affect the metal. theres a whole field of metallurgy that encompasses just this.
