2000 ek gsr swap
I just picked up a 2000 civic vx hatch with a popped motor for cheap and I have a full obd2a gsr swap.
I know that I will need some brackets for mounting from a 2000 si or sir here in Canada but I am not to sure on wiring etc and cant seem to get a straight anwser, I am going to use a 2000 sir engine harness and i am hoping to use either the gsr obd2a ecu or convert it to obd1, hook up the buterflies and secondary o2 if I use the obd2a ecu. My question is whether the obd2a ecu will work, at the ecu it has 3 plugs I thought obd2b has 4 plugs at the ecu????????????? am i missing anything????

OBD2a uses the ACD plugs
OBD2b uses the ABC plugs
here's pinouts that should help you AAALOT.
OBD2a: http://www.ff-squad.com/technet/wiring.obd2a.htm
OBD2b: http://www.ff-squad.com/technet/wiring.obd2b.htm
the route i would take, would be use a 99-00 si/sir engine harness and re-pin the plugs at the ecu to OBD2a. (you can buy a conversion harness also if you dont want to de-pin/re-pin.)
Hope this helps, if you need any more info.. don't be afraid to PM me. i have a little experience with this since i changed my 96' hatch (OBD2a) wiring all to 99' Si (OBD2b) wiring.
EDIT:: if anything, buy an OBD2b to OBD1 conversion harness so you can run a chipped ecu.
