ok I just boguht a 2000 JDM itr motor. Comes with the ECU of course, but the plugs dont' match up with my 97 EK plugs.

Now.... I can get my hands on a 97 JDM ITR ecu, but do I want ot use that? Shouldn't I be using the 2000 ecu, for it's made for that motor, and I beleive the 2000 is a bit different? OR should I just grab that 97 ecu and go nuts?

And.... if I do with the 2000 ecu, can I just grab the plugs with a 2000 civic and re wire them to OBD2b?


and last. Is there anybody here that makes a ECU conversion harness for cheap?

Modify your harness for B-series VTEC or buy a 96-98 Civic EX(96-98 Civic Si in Canada) wiring harness. If you get the 97 JDM ITER ECU, it should plug in. JDM ITR ECU programs may be a little different from 97 to 2000, post or search the ITR forum for that. Don't rewire for a 2000 Civic, to much trouble and cost. Contact username "kenji" or "katman" for an OBD2a to OBD2b conversion harness if you want to use the 00 JDM ITR ECU, but they aren't cheap. Here is an awesome site for EK swaps:

By the way, I thought all JDM ITR plugs were the same as US 96-98 OD2a. Make sure the 97 plugs don't fit and let me know the result.
