Default FIT turbo exhaust size discussion

FIT turbo exhaust size discussion:

Got the go ahead from the wife to turbo the FIT. What I need to know it what size exhaust to get. The engine is a small 1.5 and has 109 Hp, much like the d16a6(CRX SI)....the turbo with the HKS kit is a t25. I might be looking to up the boost from the stock 5.7 to MAYBE 8 or 9...Thanks for all your input guys.....................!

here is a link for the kit if it helps: http://www.thmotorsports.com/hks/hks.../i-218310.aspx

why would you run a straight pipe 2.5" exhaust on a fit that his wife drives.

it will be loud as hell and drive people crazy. also this thing will not make enough to out flow 2.25 with a t25 kit.

It's not all about maxing out the flow of a particular size tube. Less backpressure is better for this setup. It's not hard to make a 2.5" exhaust that is quiet either. Put a couple small mufflers up front and a big one in the back and it should sound great and still be quiet.

You won't need multiple mufflers, all you need is a properly sized resonater, and good muffler, no N1 style crap.
