My welder is excessively loud and blows a shitload of air around. I often have to move it to make sure it's not blowing air along the wall and over my table. I have heard that some guys add a thermostat on one of the transformers inline with the fan wiring to make it "on-demand" for welders that don't have the feature. Where can I get one of these, how should it be mounted, and what temperature should I get it for? It's a Sync 500, very old model.
