my vtec dont work

Icon2 my vtec dont work

i have this 1998 honda civic ex & my vtec doesnt work does anyone know whats wrong???

how do you know it isnt working? sohc vtec isnt as noticeable as dohc, also make sure u have oil.

put the car in reverse and smash the pedal to the floor as hard as you can, when the tach needle reaches the red, you will hear a BAHHHH BAH BAH BAHBAHAHAHAHA. That's vtec.

you sure you have a y8 or atleast a y8 head in there? the y7's look the same at a glance...

LOL, but make sure you check your oil level before doing this.

Any CELs? I know its been asked already but no VTEC usually means there is a CEL.

na i dont have the check engiene light on and a friends told me it had to do with the ecu i have a p2p and he said i need a p28 is that true??

p2p is a 96-00 civic EX ecu, you do not need a p28.

does your speedometer work? and like stated.. check your oil level.
