High Mileage Oil Filter?
When picking up an oil filter yesterday I saw that Fram has a high mileage one. I have a higher mileage Civic (165,000 km/102,000 miles) so I am considering using it next time. Has anyone tried it?
On their site it says, "Industry exclusive, patented time-released gel additive conditions oil through the entire change cycle" and "Gel additives balance oil PH and maintain viscosity".
Gel added to my oil? Is this useful or unnecessary?

I've cut them open myself i wouldn't put fram on an engine if it ran on s..t. I wonder if the high mileage goop is the same thing as the teflon goop that 3M who MAKES teflon said not to use in automotive applications. Anyone who is serious about engines knows to stay away from fram.
