I am finally done restoring and installing the rebuilt stock engine into my 2000 civic ex. When I fill the coolant, water leaks between the cylinder head and intake manifold. There is only one water bypass through the head to intake manifold.

I need help finding a solution for a solid permanent fix? I appreciate your help in advance!

Intake manifold gasket? Everything torqued to spec on the IM nuts?

 

Intake mani gasket. Either it is not to spec on TQ. Or you did not clean the head or IM when you put the new gasket on

 

the head isnt even, and i have a brand new oem honda gasket on there. i dunno what to do next

 

it looks like the head is sanded on the IM side. I dont want to try to sand it because it may not be even as it is already done by previous owner. What do i do?

 

Take it to a machine shop and have them mill it. Shouldnt be more than 45 bucks
