Default anyone ever have this problem?

yesterday car had vtec engaging properly, today i take it down the street and nothing.

i checked the wire going to the solinoid with a multimeter and when the car hit 5500 rpms the wire is showing 14ish volts. so the ecu is recognizing and sending power to the solinoid. i have a jdm solinoid with no pressure sensor so the pinout on the harness is chassis grounded. i pulled the vtec solinoid off and the screen is clear...

anyone ever have a v tec solinoid go bad? when i jump power from the battery to the solinoid i can hear it clicking... im pretty stumped. is there a certain point oil pressure wise where vtec wont engage?

my sunpro gauge was wacky on the dyno and then it just stays below zero. the guage works but the sending unit took a **** so i tried installing my new autometer one tonight and my ****in tunertoys block fitting snapped off in the block... so i wont have an easy out and a new fitting till tomorrow... im starting to get a bit frustrated

most likely an oil pressure problem, could even be as simple as being low on oil.

Check your oil level. Check the screen on the solenoid

is your oil light connected? if so is it lightly flickering at idle? that would be a telltale sign of bad oil pressure. whats the setup? is it lsvtec or just gsr or b16 whats up

its a piston and rod ls/vtec with gsr oil pump... i dont have the stock cluster in the car. its all aftermarket guages. water temp oil press boost and wideband.

the sending unit on the oil press guage i had in there took a **** and im going to put my new autometer one in the car tomorrow.

i just hope oil pressure isnt he case... motors been running well and its only got about 400 miles on it. if i have the pressure sensor wire chassis grounded the vtec should engage regardless correct/. as the ecu is always thinking it has enough pressure.

whats the minimum poressure required for vtec to actually engage ? first the injector problem and now tis random crap... small issues but im getting tired of them haha
