Pacific Earth Media presents:
IMPORT DREAMIN’
The Import Face Off event in Houston, TX on Aug 1st & 2nd, 2009 will be professionally taped for a reality DVD experience that will follow the competing heads up racers all the way to the finish line. Heads up racers and crew will be interviewed before, during, and after the competition. Video shots will include racers getting ready in the pits, staging lanes, racing on the strip, and collecting trophies and pay outs.
Filmmaker Chris Williamson, Director of Racing Heart (www.RacingHeartMovie.com) is also encouraging teams and spectators to also shoot their own footage on MiniDVD and submit it for possible use in this one-of-a-kind documentary experience. Teams are welcome to joke in front of the camera, go off on other teams, get plenty of footage of your crew working on the car, SHOW EMOTION! The best footage that helps tell the story of the weekend could be included in the final video.

Racers, especially you IFO regular winners, be sure and get preparation footage too! Dyno tuning sessions, loading up the car, travel, pre-race rituals, predictions, even internet trash talking. Win your class and there is a very good chance you'll be one of the stars of this movie. We, IFO staff, will also be shooting ourselves working the race. Maybe the general public will also get to experience the stresses we go through organizing these events (inclement weather, questionable turnout, whinny contestants, etc.)

Thank you all for supporting my import racing film projects. Please please please if you haven't yet considered purchasing a copy of Racing Heart please consider doing so now. Racing Heart was edited so that anyone, import racers or not, will enjoy seeing the story unfold. This movie will focus more specifically to the Import crowd... kind of like how The Fast and Furious appealed to millions. However, this movie will be REALITY, not fiction, and will be shot on a personal level that all racers can relate to.
Expect to see move involvement with engine setup explanations, competition structure, racer details, etc.

*update - there will be 4 camera men filming throughout the weekend. One will be filming the strip all day, 3 others videoing YOU... in the pits, staging lanes, interviews, etc.

well....I'm still figuring what to do with the footage it takes time to create something special. I will keep everyone updated here.
