I'm putting new struts on my EM1, and I'm stuck. I can't get the wheel off because it has locking lugsand I don't have the key. And now i can't take the car to a tire shop because the car is in the air, and I can't put it down because the strut isn't connected.
Any ideas or tips?

wth? put the strut back on. lower it
then find ahomey with that key. or go to autozone and find something that will work

 

I can't get the strut back on mainly beacuse the tire is in the way.

 

Ya, if you got the strut off, it should go back on. When I do those kind of jobs the first thing I do is loosen the lugs. Even before lifting the car. Having the tire off makes it so much easier for me. GL.

if you are really stuck go to sears they have a tool for getting stripped bolts off. you can hit it on and get the locking lug off

 

Get a new key from the manufacturer or shove a socket onto the lock and try your luck.
