What should I use to smooth sharp edges on forged pistons?

What should I use to smooth sharp edges on forged pistons?

Sand paper? What grit? Scotchbrite? Any experienced advice appreciated.

Emery cloth, start course if its really bad but you wanna end up using a fine grit in the end..

I wrap some 400 paper around a wood paint stick and use it like a file, then buff it a little with a grey scotchbrite.

i'll go that route. i just read emory cloth is not ideal for internal engine parts.

A single cut file works well too. I use that to finish up the ring ends.
