Try to clean your gun well after every use or at least at the end of each day of use. Once the material cures it undergoes a chemical change and will never go back to the same state it started at, making it difficult to remove. Of course, the whole point to having a seperate primer gun is so you can just let some crap build up without it affecting the end finish.
