I am running an LS motor with an ITS GT61S turbo, SLS ramhorn and 3" exhaust

I would like to have full boost sooner in the RPM band would an electronic boost controller help instead of my manual one?

im sure the real answer is to run a smaller turbo but I want to enjoy the car this summer not rip it appart and have to wait to get retuned etc.

 

yes an EBC will help increase spool time. an ebc can apply pressure above the diaphragm to help hold the valve closed longer, hence increasing spool.

some manual controllers have ways to help spool time too though. ex: the turboxs HP mbc has two ***** and can help spool by "hiding" boost from the wastegate longer

either way you are looking at about 2-300 rpm, nothing crazy

 

Look at an EBC as a finishing touch and not as a means to fix a misatched turbo.

Personally, I prefer pressure regulator style MBC's.
