this will be the first oil change i am preforming on this 05 f4i.
The 1st owner was using an OEM filter, and Moble1 synthetic oil($10 a qt)
I was wondering if this was nessasary... I see a lot of people on here use that rotella(blue jug). I was wondering if i should keep using the expensive stuff, or switch.

 

rotella is good stuff ... i put it in my 05 600rr, has 49k miles runs perfect

 

Motul or Repsol have been so far great for me

Unless you're revving the snot out of it, you can use any motorcycle-specific oil in the weight for your F4i. Mobil1 isn't necessary but is good stuff.

 

i only run amsoil, but everyone has there preference

 

im just crusing, i think im gonna make the change to rotella.

 

F4i's don't need much, i just run repsol and a k&n filter.
