windsheild wiper problem

Default windsheild wiper problem

i have a 95 hatch and im having a problem with the wipers when i turn my car on my wipers automatically start and the switch is off so i have no idea whats wrong

yeah get a new wiper wand. they are easy to take off. take off the plastic steering console cover and its 2 screwws and pull it out and unplug replace amen

They go for a list price of $95 from the dealer, part number 35256-SR3-A11.

But before you go spending money and replacing parts, check for a short in the wiring as it may not be the switch itself. Try turning the car on with the wiper switch disconnected. If it still happens then something is shorted out giving the wiper motors 12V. If the problem isn't there with the switch disconnected it is most likely the switch.
