Just put the head on and when I put the timing light to it I cant get it in perfect time....Why?

Has anyone one done this succsesfully the car starts right up runs 1/2 way alright just a little boggy because of the timing issue. I searched but I found all the other minie-me setups but that im trying to do

yeah tried all that and it didnt work ne of the ways so im going to try to use a y8 belt with the y8 cam and gear
