Hello there, i am running my old beat up 91 dx hatchabck in a all import demolition derby this august. we ripped all the wiring out of the car due to a light interior fire. (the whole reason for using this car for demo derby other than the crusher!)
i just need to know which wires on the ecu need 12volts, or chassis ground etc to run
i am using the factory pm6 ecu aswell
p.s. i am only running the following sensors
injectors
dizzy
tps
map
we are running a inline fuel pump so no main relay, just a starte switch and a master power switch
i am deleting/ not hooking up the others as they are not going to be necessary, who cares if it has a cel? there is no gauge cluster hahaahaha.
also need help i dentifing the colors on the dizzy to there function ckp tdc etc.

 

 

because the car's been on fire. try the FAQ? i think it's got the info.

 

i looked throught the faq, and found which wires go where but no which wires are hot with the key on, and which need chassis ground.

i just told you guys the car has been on fire so you could realize that i pulled every last inch of wire from this car, there is no wire left to take out! I am going to hard wire the ecu to the main sensors needed to run

 

no idea on the specific wires, bump for someone who does?

also i'd say try to source a harness perhaps? that way you can at least work with a working harness and just pull out everything you won't be needing. and you said a pm6, what engine are you running? dx had something else, the pm6 was an si, unless it was a typo or i missed something. regardless, good luck with it!

 

yes indeed the car is a dx, but i am running a d16a6 engine and the oem pm6 ecu. i think i will have to use the chart for the obd1 cars then back trace them to the obdo pin outs
lots of time if you ask me. someone out there has built a harness from scratch, help me!

why not demo it? sounds like fun to me,and better than just taking it to the scrapyard to get crushed.might as well have some fun with it.
