how to adjust coilover
hi, i just ordered GROUND CONTROL and i really like to know how to adjust coilovers. i heard that you have to put it on first and adjust them.. but with left-front and right-front.. how do you exactly know how much you drop?.. can someone teach me how?.. sorry.. if this sounds stupid. i don't know much about coilovers..thanks for your time~
IF I am not mistaken GC has a key that you use to loosen a bolt. After it is loose you can turn the sleave to raise or drop your car. I am not sure how to tell the drop, but make you that the two sides are at the same hieght. I think you should put them on first.
You can look at the coils and the ring that you are turning to see how much you have dropped it. However, I found that one side needed to be turned more than the other in order to get an equal drop. Really, when I adjust mine, I have to adjust it and look at where it sits to get an idea of the ride height.
ya just make sure that you on a flat surface. Then you can measure from the middle of the bottom of the fenderwell to the ground if you want to be more precise.
