Clutch decisions...
First off, I drive an '00 EK1 HB (AUDM, D16Y4).
Now, im going to fit a Y8 g/box to it (Y4 is A000 small bearing), so while i was doing that, it might be a good idea to upgrade the stock clutch & flywheel. I do have future plans for some forced induction & maybe a built bottom end.
Im looking at clutch & flywheel kits on ebay. yeah, i know they're cheap for a reason, but by the time you count in shipping to australia, etc. put it this way, they're still cheaper to buy overseas incl postage compared to buying just s clutch off the shelf.
The clutch & flywheel kits im looking at are from eCM (eClutchMaster). Im looking at the stage 1 (full face disk) or the stage 2 (6-puck). the car will never see a drag strip or track, pure & simply a daily driver. the wife uses the car aswell. When i do plan to go turbo, im aiming for about 190-200whp on a stock block. if i go with a built block, 250-270whp.
