Default Tilton clutch questions.....

First lets talk the setup.....2.0L, fully built engine, ported head, all that good stuff, running a pt-61 turbo, T04S cover. It's time to get a clutch and flywheel. NOTE: this set up is not together yet so don't ask how it runs or anything like that. It's just time for the clutch and flywheel.

looking for say over 500whp...well not looking for that, more looking for 10's in a street car. Looking into Tilton clutch. just not sure which way to go with it. And what are flywheel options with this clutch, do i have to use their flywheel too?

car will be driven on the street somewhat but not daily, no not with 500 whp either, i'm not that stupid. Looking for a 7.25" cerametallic twin disc, also what presure plate option is better? I am thinking the ultra-high ratio one would be better. http://www.tiltonracing.com/driveline/rally.html

would this clutch be concidered overkill with my setup? I've heard they are good. Question is...do I need this much clutch? any help here would be great. CM stage 5 is one other option, maybe even something from act. I'm confused

Default Re: Tilton clutch questions..... (80884)

I picked up the Tilton Ceremetallic 7.25" setup with one of the lighter springs for my YS1/2.0L LS.

Your best bet is to contact Tilton: 805-688-2353. Ask for Kirk Skaufel.
