ok so all your sentences run together it's impossible to read no one can understand you were you absent from grammar school when they taught about punctuation each sentence should start with a capital letter each sentence should end with a period or other punctuation mark like a question mark for questions learn how to write if you want people to read your posts

So you put a racing brake pad on and now that they dont work like the stock street pads your unhappy? Life is full of trade offs.

hp+ pads squeak, simple as that, if you don't want your pads squeaking, get OEM pads or run hawk HPS

Sounds like nobody is bothering to read the first post. That's what happens when someone types a post without punctuation; it's so difficult to read, nobody bothers.

However, if you read what he is saying - despite his inability to separate sentences - it sounds like he put on the Hawk HPS, not the HP+ and not one of their racing pads. (I realize it's difficult to figure out. Especially when he says "Hawk HPS +".)

Oh, and Hawk HP+ pads don't squeak, either, based on my experience. I've used maybe ten sets of them, and they have never squeaked for me.

ok sorry for running all my sentences together. Ive ran at least 5 sets of hp+ pads and none of them squeaked this bad. Its kinda like a grinding noise when stopping and its getting worse and worse i havent had the time to really take it apart and look at it. Could it be something with the fluid? Maybe not bringing the piston back fully so the pads resting alittle bit on the rotor. I was just wondering if i can get some help not get yelled at for the way i typed this out This problem doesnt seem to really affect my braking its just annoying as hell! What else should i check?

If you think you might not have pushed the pistons all the way back in, you could open the calipers up and do it again. (I assume you already know that you have to turn the rear pistons to push them in.)

You didn't mention whether or not you applied anti-squeal compound to the backing plates when you put the pads in, but that can help.

It's also possible that the sliding caliper pins need lubrication.

You should also bleed the lines while your at it, just to eliminate that as a potential problem.

maybe you pu the pads in backwards (backing plate facing in). that would cause a grinding sound. When you replaced the pads, did you check to make sure they're the same? If the pad you put in is for a different application, it could be touching the hub of the rotor.

Haha ok I don't have backing plates I heard this might cause the problem but a lot of people told me it wouldn't. I did put the **** the came with the hawk pads on the back of the pads because my backing plates were missing lol. I know that you have to turn the piston on the rear calipers I don't get why everone on here keeps coming at me like I'm half retarded and putting pads in the wrong way and acting like this is an english class I just need some help! I just don't get it.

Did you bleed the lines at each caliper? Air in the lines can cause them to stick.

You're misinterpreting what he said. He wasn't talking about the thin metal shims that come with the stock pads. He was talking about the metal side of the brake pads themselves.

It's a matter of eliminating all of the most likely causes, one by one. If you don't mention the things you've already checked out, then others will mention them because those could be the cause of your squealing.

Ok I have no backing plates (the ones that come with the stock pads) i put the grease on the back of this pad itself so i dont know if that will help. I didn't bleed the brakes at each caliper im just going to bleed the whole system hopefully this week if I have time and see if that helps.

First, look at this picture:

See how there are two "layers"? The one that sticks out to the sides farther (with the holes in it) is the "backing plate." All brake pads have this. It's a piece of metal that the brake pad material (not metal) bonds to. If you're missing this for some reason, you need to get new pads, because the ones you have are f'ed up.

Second, "bleeding the whole system" IS bleeding the brakes at each caliper. How the hell else could you do it? I mean...really, how?

I don't mean this offensively, but you sound like you have no idea what you're doing. Given that, and given that you now seem to have a problem, maybe you should take the car to someone that DOES know what they're doing before you create more of a problem.

Putting sentences together in a coherent fashion, while not required, will help people understand you better, and make you not look half-retarded. So far, you haven't done much to inspire intellectual confidence, and I mean that in the nicest way. As an example, I have to read everything you type 3-4 times to figure out what you mean.
