What computer equipment do you use to tune?
I just picked up my new Neptune/Demon and looking for a new piece to tune with.
Since it would be hard to use my desktop, my girlfriends laptop is out of the question I must go find something else, having something very portable would be nice.
The netbook's look nice for a tuning tool, 1.6GHZ Atom, 1GB Ram, 120GB HDD, Win XP etc.
Has anyone used a netbook to tune? Or do you stick with laptop/notebook's.
any input would be great, keep the drama low please.

would drive me crazy if i had to use those netbooks to tune.
i use a lenovo t61p 15" widescreen. small screens are annoying to tune with, esp sittin in a cramped car.

i tune with my acer aspire 1 (net book) just perfectly, if im tuning my own car, i actually place the keyboard portion through my seatbelt on my waist and it supports it right on my lap perfectly without budging! they're cheap, tiny and inexpensive! the last thing you want is to use an expensive large laptop especially to street tune. If you plan on spending alot of time on a dyno then i would see a larger laptop being better for use as your stationary.

Dell D400 here, more than enough power for tuning.
I started tuning with a Dell M65 (tank of a computer) and the size annoyed me a lot.
You want a decent mix of size and price. (D400s can be bought for ~$150)
The only annoying part is the lack of CD/DVD drive built in and the lack of USB2 support. But that's easily solved with a PCMCIA USB2 card that cost me $10 and USB drives.

netbook would be great! I have the MSI U100 I use it to log (granted I have a WRX currently) but I hope to be picking up an EK shortly
it's a great little computer, weighs nothing, excellent battery life, the screen is a little small but it's not that bad
