Default worn valve guides/seals or possibly piston rings?

Car smoking some blue-ish smoke out exhaust.

Smoke mostly comes out after the car is warmed up and if i give it some gas and let it idle. Also when decelerating while in gear or downhill smoke will come out or if i'm sitting at idle after giving it some gas. If i leave the car parked and idling it only smokes a little.

The compression numbers are 180 across the board on this built block so i am leaning towards the valve guides/seals rather than rings or turbo.

What checks or symptoms can i do to confirm it is the guides/seals?

i was under the impression that valve seals leaked from a cold start.

Typically Yes, but it depends on how bad they are. Also get a leak down tester and hook it up. That is the only way to truly test where it is leaking from.

Sounds like the exact symptoms I was experiencing with a blown turbo seal due to insufficient draining. I would rule out the valve seals before I ruled out the turbo. By your description, it doesn't sound to me like your valve seals/guides/rings are bad.

hey, I'm currently having the same exact problem. pretty much just got noticed a few months ago. Its my turbo seals. I think that its the same for you. I havent even doen a leakdown test yet but I am soon. I'm runnin a modified greddy setup on a jdm gsr motor in a DA. runs well but seein that blue smoke from time to time pisses me off. I will repost after my leakdown but I am positive its my turbo seals because I got oil residue in all my pipes and my turbo play isnt just down and up like it was when i first got it but also in and out.

Anyone got a new or good condition greddy 18g turbo. lmk thanks
