Wayyyy too many reports of stolen Hondas in this forum!!
Dont waste your money with a fancy schmancy alarm system or GPS or quick-release steering wheel. that stuff is nice but you don't have to go ***** deep with your security measures.
Honda-Tech.com // Economical security measures for your Honda/Acura BEFORE it gets stolen.
Sometimes the simplest answer is the best answer. A $2 switch and 30 minutes of work could be what saves your baby.
Study up and KEEP YOUR HONDAS!

Anyways i made this thread to show people easy and cheap ways to prevent their hondas from getting stolen. Not for some H-T wannabe-elitist NOOB to come try and prove me wrong.
every day, there are multiple threads in the so cal forum of hondas getting stolen with NO ANTI THEFT work done!
a $2 switch hidden cleverly will be impossible to steal without a tow truck
a $1k alarm system on a $4k honda is just plain stupid

No your wrong. Most people that had there car stolen had alarm systems that were installed poorly. 90% of cars that I redo there systems sucked. Look at all the pics of engine bays. Siren right there were a theif can cut it. Brain tossed right under the dash. The simple $2 fuel kill switch sucks. And everytime I receive a car thats was stolen and I repair it. The switch is left on and the back seat is ripped up with and the fuel pump is tagged with 12 volts. So there goes your switch. Ignition kill, sucks your dizzy is right u top and the batttery is less then a foot away. Starter kill is a joke. You can push start a 5 speed or tag the starter under the hood. But there are ways to protect your car read up.

Most people do not know good security. Or beleive that best buy or circuit city is going to protect your car. I been doing this for 16 years and not one car stolen or one car that was not towed and the owner did not get it back withen 10-15 mins. I have broken up over 5 theft rings with the chp. I will allways stand by "If they want it they will get it " as the most untrue saying ever. Yes, I have over 2k in security. But I have over 6k in my motor and over 5k just in parts and labor in my car. Security is not a waste. And I will allways hold a challange with my car. If you think your good enough to take it. I will let you come with a trailer or you can try to start it. Tow it and I will give you a 20 min head start. I WILL track you down pin point to were my car is before you could even try to break the car down. 5 takers. All failed.
Fail pics!

failed!

Failed
And I have more. Anybody reading this. Go check your own car. If you see something like this. Be ready to come outside in the morning to see your car gone!

nice GSR. sorry to see the theft attempt but im glad you still have it.
how about a cleverly disguised clutch safety kill switch? Or removing the clutch safety switch completely (very easy) Whats your opinion on that?

Ahh im a moron for not realizing its ITR. i just thought red valve cover and aftermarket intake manifold LOL
My buddy has a 2001 ITR, and someone attempted to steal it while it was sitting in the driveway with no engine. They broke in through the window, no alarm cause it didnt have battery, they broke the ignition, swapped out the ECU, and were probably quite pissed off when they realized that the thing was sitting there with no engine LOL

You got to be kidding me, Must of been the same theives, lol. I had the same exact thing happen to my 01 py r, rofl
everybody just fails to realize that if they want it that bad, they're gonna get it, no matter what means it takes to get it. for all you know, thieves could probably be airlifting cars now.
How bout put GPS alarm that not wired to the engine system, but separate by it self. The alarm not gonna function as theft stopper, but as notifier to the owner once the car moved away from the set location. So you can follow your car and call the cops, while the thieves not even notice that your car have an alarm. That the basic idea, you should hide the whole thing not where Alarm module used to be placed.
For who think their alarm good enough, try add the siren that have backup battery.
