Default B16 Dynoed Yesterday....

Its been a rough ride for the past little while. Took my car in for paint last year and got it back 6 months later! After all that... kinda lost interest and spent all my savings on stupid sh*t. After driving the car back from the paint booth I immediatly fell inlove with it again.

The motor is a b16a2. I bought an ebay and bolted everything up. Was driving the car on basemap and boost spiked to 18 psi and I cracked a ringland. Me and my old man took the motor out changed the one piston and ring (thank god cylinder wasn't scored) and through it all back together. Did compression test and it was 185-190 right across the board.

Anyways, finally went for my tune yesterday. This is the set-up.

EBAY T3/T4 .57 trim
3in Downpipe too 3in mandrel exhaust
RC440 Injectors
Walbro 255
Pretty much ebay everything else.

I was very pleased with the tune. Final numbers were....

280WHP @ 9psi
186TQ

I bought a manual boost controller but when the car spiked too 18 psi I'm pretty sure it was due to the boost controller, so I'll be returning it.

what are you tuned on? You should have a overboost setting on in your tune just incase that happens as it could save your motor.

Good numbers though also!

only one piston ringland blew? I find that hard to believe, but things going on inside motors always seem to amaze me. Those are nice numbers too. Have fun with it.
