Is there any way to put a awd wago van trans on a B-series?

no. sohc tranny on a doch engine... no go.

but strangely enough, you could probably use the awd tranny from a crv. looking from underneath a awd wagon, from the drive shaft back it looks almost the same as a crv.
there will be some fabing to do, but it could work.

I heard Bisi are making a B to D adapter plate, dunno much about it though.

go with the b20 crv setup its a little work like the shifter swap and you have to make your own trans mount but it works i have a buddie that did it ill try to get some pics soon

It's more then just a little work. Besides, you don't want to be stuck with the CRV's gumby clutch actuated 4wd system.
