Default how do you take off the climate controll?

does anyone know how to take off the climate controll without chipping the hell out of it? it looks pretty damn fragile around the edges. do i have to take off the whole dash piece around it? (its a 93 ex, if that matters)

slow down bud before you really **** things up.. you gotta remove the radio first and then you will see *i think* 3 skcrews holding it in. remove the screws and the unit will be much easier to remove.. btw, why are you taking it out anyways??

you have to take the radio out and then the center console (lighter/ash tray part)...under where the center console there is a screw (1) underneath that you have to remove also...then from the back side there are 3 screws then when you take out the climate control you have to be sure to take it out carefully and remove the cable on it ( if its not the automatic ones)...then it should come out.
