Default Rear Speakers

Ok i am going to put rear speakers in my 91 civic std. Ima make holes on the back panels so the speakers could fit. But where do u people with rear speakers connect the +- wires. Do u tap into the car radio harness, the radio harness i got a pioneer radio. Can someone tell me where i hook the speaker wires to?

do u have a cargo cover ??
if u do put 2 6x9 speaker and look and sounds clean

no i dont have a cargo cover. I am going to cut a hole in the back side panels and fiberglass around it so it looks nice and neat. I just want to know how u hook up the speakers, where do u hook it up, what wire.

If there are no existing factory speaker wires then you will have to run some from your head unit. I had the same issue in the rear of my lx sedan. Mine wasn't that bad though since the speakers run off the amp i have in the trunk.

I have a std and i only have the front 2 only. How will i know which wire it will be on the head unit

u got the cable hook it up 2 the front speakers simple

I just made my own out of Alpine Speakers, and OEM EF Rear Speaker Grills.



EDIT: Oh sorry you asked how they wired them... Well all Hatchbacks came pre-wired from honda with speaker cables running to the trunk, they should be peeking out of your rear seats.
If not wire them correctly into your headunit, it should say +REAR and -REAR labeled

u connect sum speaker wire for ur speakr gathers to ur tail light harness..thers gonna be 2 extra wires on ur harness and connect the there

And the headunit wire for the rears will it say it on the wire or like an actual lable on it

Purple and green are the wire colors off any aftermarket deck for the rear speakers. The - is the grounds. I believe the green is left but don't quote me on that. Wow we have a bunch of smart people on here today. Lol

If you take out the rear wire covers for where you change your brake lights from, you will see two wires that are not connected to anything. Those are your rear speaker wires, their color should match the same 4 wires coming from the radio harness that is not connected.
