Hey guys, I have a JDM 96spec ITR motor. All stock motor internally. It has jdm 4-1 header, Mugen 2 layer headgasket, .010 mill. Camgears, 12lb ACT flywheel about 12.0 Compression.
I'm planning on purchasing a ITB TWN Setup. Just wondering what kind of power i could possible make with some Jun 3's, or Skunk2 Pro 2 camshafts and really good tune?
If you have any personal setup with ITB's please post up your setup.
Thanks.

really? I thought ITB's can make as much as 40 whp gains???...
Headers > ITB's = IDK about that......
Headers > ITB's = IDK about that......
I'd love to see where you read that, because it's completely incorrect. Even if it WAS capable of making that kind of power, it wouldn't on an engine choked up by that header.
Edit for kicks: https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...&highlight=itb
Totsie apparently gained 28whp with ITBs...and a better header. Take that for what it's worth. I didn't bother looking into how stock the motor is either.

his motor is decently built...and the 28whp accounts for the SMSP header as well. So its prolly a little bit of both helping hit that 28whp gain number.
i have two sets of itbs currently - one on a mild build itr motor with toda c cams and hytech header, and the other on a dart 2.1L talldeck.
i will tell you that they are not exactly a bolt-on affair, and twm isn't the best out there either.
if you intend to remain allmotor, then i'd suggest a great header, cams, somewhere between 11 to 11.5:1 cr, a nice free flowing exhaust, port and polish headwork, and THEN itb's.
But you will need a vacuum canister to connect to your brake mc and iacv + map sensor.
itb's should be your last last last step. and even then it's a headache for many (myself included). You may want to consider a ported intake manifold as it's a lot less trouble.
i speak only from my own experience however.
