HELP!!!98 teg non-v can i turbo stock internals?
heres the deal ive got a 98 teg with a motor that has bout 120k on it its really strong so far. i bought a full kit off ebay. I know iknow..... but lets get around that i bought crap. I bought a t3/t4 turbo, that maifold that saves the ac and power steering, external wastgate, fmu, manual pressure regulator, full pipe intercooler kit w/ blow off, an aftermarket fuel pump(255),a full tap kit to tap the oil pan. i havent bought injectors yet, ive got a electronic boost controller as well. this is my problem how can i install this full kit and not fry my pistons from preboosting when i go over 65 on the freeway. everyone tells me ill fryem quick this is my everyday driver. is there somethin i can install so i can do 85+ on the freeway cause i drive bout 60 miles a day on the freeway. and i really dont want to rip the head apart ta put turbo pistons in it. Im not tryin ta run 12s in the 1/4 mile or anythin i would be happy as well with jus doin 3-6 pounds all day. Man someone help me!!! ive got this kit starin me at me in my livin room i need ta do somethin with this soon! oh and i jus installed a wideband air/fuel gauge too!
What is your goal, 3 to 6 psi is good for daily driver, But the thing is turbo car is alot headache if u don't know what you doing u could blow ur motor. You will need fuel injector an manual boost control is better den electronic boost control, An u will need a piggyback or p28 wit chip in for turbo, After u put on your turbo find a good shop Dyno an Tune it that is a pinion, if u want more save bring it to the shop let them slap on the turbo is u had the money

so all i have ta do is jus get it tuned and watch my psi and keep it at low boost and i shouldnt be fryin pistins and rings goin over 65 on the freeway?
here read this dan u should understand how the turbo work https://honda-tech.com/forums/forced-induction-16/%2A%2A%2Aforced-induction-forum-faq%2A%2A%2A-1024174/ turbo car is no joke bro. What u mean about i can do 85+ on the freeway ?????? my stock motor i can do 130 mph easy the thing is how long is it take that where the turbo come in !!!!!! lol my dude u got a lots to studies on about car!!!!!!

First off get a compression test on your engine to see if internally there are any problems before you boost.
Wow EBAY kit (sell it and do it right the first time so you don't have problem and so many headaches with cracked manifold, fitment, complete failure).
If you do stick with EBAY stuff you will need oil restrictor, half radiator usually, better wastegate since they cause boost creep etc......
And like everyone will tell you tune it wont last without
FAST, CHEAP, RELIABLE- YOU CAN ONLY HAVE TWO SO PICK

Isn't this the millionth thread with the exact same question?? OP you NEED to learn how to search. If you don't even know the answer to your question, then you are no where near ready to boost your car.
You need to spend a lot of time researching and looking throught the forced induction thread/FAQ to learn more about it.

OP go to the forced induction, as you can see your answers to your question in this thread are lacking experience and intelligence.
go to the forced induction forum. there is an ls/turbo thread in there. lots of knowledgable people in there too. the stock ls can do pretty well. i agree with most, but not all of the posts above me. a tune is necessary. as far as the ebay turbo's go...i've seen those things last and last, for years. some of the guys in the ls/turbo thread have been running 350 hp on stock bottom ends with ebay turbo's. as for the electronic boost control, my personal opinion is to ditch that and just stick with a wastegate. go start a thread in the forced induction forum. cause as dapek said, alot of inexperience in this one.
