Default B18C5 Crank Pulley Clearance

Does the crank pulley on the B18C5 without modification to the frame rail fit on a 1990 Dx hatch? Just trying to determine which pulley to buy. I want to retain the factory a/c and obviously the alternator but I want a stock looking pulley. Just wondering if there is an alternative if it doesn't fit without denting in the frame rail.

It'll fit, but the alternator pulley may touch, use the shortest belt you can.

How is the clearance with the b18c5 crank pulley and the OEM D-series Civic/CRX cross member radius rod?

It depends on the mounts you use, from what I've been told. Underdrive pulley is a better bet for B-swaps with a/c.

Not good. I have HaSport mounts and it'll hit. I ended up having a set of '92 Accord curved radius rods custom machined, much better clearance now.

I just measured. My setup clears just fine.

Here are the specs:

Mounts: Hasport 2011-2012 (latest design revision), click for image
block: b18c
crank pulley: b18c5, unmodified
clearance between bottom of crank pulley & D-CRX oem radius rod with suspension @ full compression (shock removed, everything else connected, upper control arm fully compressed against chassis): about 0.275"

I personally feel this is sufficient clearance. THe upper control arm should never bottom out against the chassis. So the clearance I measured is the "theoretical" minimum (using my setup), assuming the upper control arm can bottom out against the chassis.
