Default throttle cable

So im picking up a 93 integra and the only thing wrong with it is the throttle cable is loose.
The guy has been driving it like that for about a year. I have a few questions.
1. Can i tighten it and forget about it or,
2. should i just replace it.
How hard is it to do either?

Define loose, can you physically see if it is loose from the throttle bracket to the throttle body itself? if it is, just tighten the 12mm screws, and you should be fine.

lose as in when driving it the pedal goes down a bit before the slack disappears and get response from the pedal.
