Default Ford RS 500 COSWORTH Exhaust

Long story short
Just finished a customers car off today......
several Large and well know exhaust fabrication specialists (powerflow, 1 of them) claimed it cudnt be done..... tut tut tut

Customer car
RS 500 (No 3 off 500)

Exhaust 4" from turbo back split into 2 x 2.5" exiting before the rear wheels

so lets getting fabing... lots of 316 stainless, and V-band joints

Not alot of space to work with to start off with

the guy used to complain that the 3" he had on there used to knock on the Tranny bracket so i needed to make this fit perfect for cleanance reasons and no knocking either

(LIKE MY WINGED OIL PAN 8) )

welded up

Know the split section, i had even less space to work with, especially where i needed to find 2 boxes to fit in somewhere.

Exhaust Boxes where made to measure
Next problem...
where the side exit pipes had to go the lift arms where there, plus if he ever needed to jack the car up the would be in the way of the jacking points so i had to make the exit pipes detachable.....

i used 2.5" v-band kits right off the boxes

and here is the end piece peps
Enjoy   8) but imagine 1 on each side

the v-bands used have a high temp silicone coupler which will allow for a little movement.. these engines done tend to move a great deal, not like a honda moves front to back, these have a lil movement side to side....

so far so good

thanks for the kind words
