car ran fine yesterday. went for a spirited drive in the afternoon, came home shut her down and didn't think about it. i woke up this morning to wax the car and when i went to move it into the carport it won't turn over. the car is a LS/V(if that matters). the fuel pump is priming, i can smell gas in my bay. checked my spark plugs and they look good, will check for spark when someone can help me. my major concern is that i have aftermarket cam gears and it looks like one of them may have moved a degree(i really feel like it looks different) but im not sure. now, where to start?

I agree with your logical plan. Start by checking the mechanical timing and, if fine, check for spark.

 

after a bit of research i think it's my coil or ignitor. i'm going to take the ignitor in tomorrow morning to get it tested. im crossing my fingers that it's the coil though...alot cheaper.

- ignitor as mentioned already

- main relay- are you getting fuel?
