Fuel pump just keeps priming...even WITHOUT keys
Ok I have my 92 CX that I got painted a couple of months back and got it put together and have not had much time to drive the thing... but last time I drove it on the interstate my battery light turned on. After a short ride on slower roads my alternator was able to build up enough so that the light would turn off.
I thought end of story, but I was wrong. Because the car is so loud, I desided to install some sound dedeadining so I removed the interior. After a few weeks of the car sitting I was able to get time off to clean it up to put the deadener in. I kept thinking my phone was vibrating but it was my fuel pump priming, about every 5-10 seconds for 1-2 seconds. Well I started the car and low and behold my battery light is on. The problem is because of the mounts I have it vibrates too much to hear of feel if its still priming while running.
What could cause this?
CLIFFS: Drove car on interstate, battery light comes on. drive to work, it goes off. remove interior, hear fuel pump priming when no keys are present.

Regarding the battery light turning on, first check whether the alternator belt and alternator mount bracket bolts are tight. If they are tight, take the car to an auto parts store to have the battery and alternator tested.
The belt is tight and the battery is new so I will get the alternator tested...and is there any way to chech to ignition switch
