Question on the "seals" that go in the intake manifold for the injectors *pic*
Is the "fuel injector insulator" a plastic ring that looks basically just like the rubber "seal ring" that goes closer to the fuel rail? I just want to make sure I have my parts straight. Also, anyone know if D-series injectors are the same size as and H22 to where I could use the injector insulators out of a D16Y8?
those little plastic things that slide in the top have little screens in them, my guess is for further filtration. h22 injectors flow more fuel somebody correct me but I thing they are 330cc thats what crome says they are.
Those are not what I'm talking about. The piece in the picture that is labeled "fuel injector insulator" is what I'm referring to.
ok I see what your talking about,Im really not sure if I have noticed them when putting in the many injectors I have done.
That pic does not look like my older H22A1 Helms manual or my actual H22 fuel rail. I do remember the little plastic rings that sit between the IM and the injector but nothing rubber on that end.
The only thing you need to worry about is the spacing between the fuel rail and the IM so that when pressurized, the injector's O-ring stays seated in the fuel rail and you don't get any leaks.
I can't offer info about D-series injectors. I've no experience there.
