Default ac question

I just replace my ac compressor and receiver/drier. Is it necessary to replace the expansion valve too or can I skip that and hope for the best.

If posting a retarded comment to get your post count up was an job, you'd get employee of the month.. If you don't have anything worth saying that can contribute to what I have ask, I'm gonna be nice and say stfu and gtfo.

It depends on how your previous compressor failed. If it sent metal pieces down the line then you should have to replace the expansion valve and flush the lines. Most compressor manufacturers will not warranty their compressors unless a new valve is installed. (Of course that doesn't necessarily mean you can't still get it replaced under warranty).

If you are pretty sure that your system is clean, then don't worry about it.
