Default ATV quad exhaust work. Need some opinions.

I have always beena fan of dual exhausts. I want to put a dual muffler system on my quad. My question is can i make a custom exhaust on this? They dont use a special metal to do that do they? the bike is a 08 400ex. I have flanges for it, just need to know if this is possible??

I have seen it done before but very ghetto.

Just make a 2-1 collector from two 30* bends and use it the other way around.

It has two pipes that come off it. They go into one. What kind of metal should i use, i guess thats my main question. Do i have to use a special thickness and what not on these bikes???

400EX: Front Tube left, and right are 1.25" SS-304 0.065. The collector is dual in 1.25" collected to single 1.75". You would probably want to build a x pipe, dual 1.25" in, dual 1.25" out, cross-over your flows and run them into dual mufflers. Material is regular 304 stainless or mild ceramic coated.

Not our designs, just contract manufactured assemblies for quad companies.

Any interest in selling these to the general public without a name/brand on them?

Yes. Definitely don't try to build a true dual exhaust. You will lose power if you don't collect the exhaust to one pipe before the two mufflers.
