I was driving back from work today and my car started to make a whistling sound, I noticed that the more I accelerate the louder it got. It lasted for 2 minutes and then it was gone.
Any thoughts what could of cause this? Any help will be much appreciated.

is there any surging? Sound may have come from intake that may have come loose. A cracked or ripped vacuum line may be the cause also.

 

Nope, there is no surging, what else could it be?

Yes, I do

 

I believe that is the source of the sound, about 80% people that i know with aftermarket intake hears that sound including myself. I dont think you have anything to be worried about, unless its doing something abnormal.

 

I did remove the filter to blow it off last week, should I check for something?

 

I dont think there anything to check for unless the motor is doing something out of whack. Did you clean out the throttle body?

 

nope, just the air filter.

 

If not the intake, it might be simply your speakers making the noise! Listen to them
