Is a J32A3 a Zero Clearance Engine?
I NEED TO KNOW THIS IMMEDIATELY.
What is P2V Clearance, or is the TL Engine (J32A3) a Zero Clearance engine??
My engine (intended for swap) came without a keyway, and unknowingly I cranked it to do a compression test and the cams wern't turning!! I need to know if the valves are bent.

It made no sounds to indicate any damage. I can't believe I didn't look closer at that crank. I had no idea the keyway held the timing gear and the crank pulley.
All J-series engines run the risk of valve-to-piston contact.
Nobody can tell you whether you bent valves or not. It's up to you to either put everything together and run a compression test, or tear everything down and start pulling valves. We can't fix your car over the internet.
That is incorrect. There are several Honda engines that are not interference type.
Unfortunately, the J-series V6 is not one of them.

(GASP) You can't?!
All I wanted to know was whether or not the engine was zero clearance. You answered that so thank you. Me saying "I need to know if the valves are bent" did not mean that you or anyone else had to answer that. It was poorly worded, but you don't have to be a smart-*** to let me know that.
Problem being resolved by the way. Bought keyway, crank bolt. All exhaust valves bent on front side of engine.
i did kind of the same thing when I was doing a timing belt on a J32a1. The woodruff key was out of the crank and I broke the cam bolts loose to replace cam oil seals, it turns out that the only thing holding the cam from turning was the piston touching valves.
It turned out to be OK. If it was me I'd just put the woodruff key in it and put everything back together and see if it runs. If valves are bent you will know when you hear it run.

Update:
Got it all apart. There were contact marks on all the pistons on the front side (alternator side) but only 1 of 6 exhaust valves were bent. No intake valves bent. Going to order a valve from Acura tomorrow.
Turns out this prob didn't happen from me turning it over. I think the motor was like this when I bought it and that's why the deal was so good. I figure it was over revved prob from a bad downshift. The contact marks were carbon covered, so it ran like this for some time before it was pulled.

Not sure how quick you need the valves, but I work at a dealer. duvalacura.com Search there and see if thats a good price for you. There would be shipping. I promise I'm not trying to get more business for my company, I make no money off what I sell, just trying to get you a good price (30% off list <I think>).

$32 each for Head Gaskets Reg. $65 each
$15 each Exhaust Valves Reg. $18 each
Doesn't get much better than that.
CDN prices BTW.
Not a bad price at all... don't now what that converts to but US is about $36 a gasket and $21 a valve. If you ever do need some factory parts though, for some dumb reason our online store takes 30% off list price (those where list prices). That's nearly COST from American Honda!
