GSR turbo blown head gasket
my friend and i just boosted his gsr and popped the head gasket on 10lbs after like an hour and a half. lol.
Is there anything we can do to lower the compression or keep it from blowing again? (excluding low comp pistons etc..) thanks guys.

I don't know about lowering compression without changing pistons or rods or crank...
I don't think you want to go that far.
You can retard the ignition timing to help save the headgasket, colder thermostat and plugs might help as well.

just get a Thicker Headgasket to drop it a few tenths and ARP's and you'll be fine. Plenty of people run bone stock GSR's on higher than 10psi.

Check your timing, seafoam it and tune it even if all you can afford is a VAFC and a wideband O2 sensor.
Timing so you don't have it overly aggressive and knock.
Seafoam so you get rid of carbon buildup that could create hot spots or increase compression.

Yeah it was fully tuned for the set up. just was a b16 ecu.
well, the next day we got a new head gasket and arp head studs. we went and took off the head and it turns out it was a little more than a blown gasket. #3 cylinder was completely blown out and cracked all the way down. ill post a pic of it later today. lol. its pretty cool lookin.

hahaha. yeah, i told him to put some jb weld on it too. hahha
lol. it did have new spark plugs etc. but i mean it was a P28 ecu tuned with hondata. just for a B16. he got it with the kit. and 550cc injectors. (a lil overkill yes.. haha)
the block had about 90,000 miles on it.
