Broke Crankshaft Pulley 95 civic
The crankshaft pulley was making a knock at low and wobbling a few days ago so i torque it to spec and everything was good. Now yesterday it started to wobble while i was on the road and was able to make it to my destination but the pulley wasn't turning anymore. Went to remove it and broke the bolt off.
I notice the splines are no longer on the pulley or the crankshaft and where the small key goes is chipped on the crank.
Has anyone ever weld the crank pulley back on to get back home, as my car is in the middle of the woods (i was heading to the camp). i was thinking of taking the welder and generator up next weekend and try and see if i can get the car home.
i'm assuming it will need a new crank? the car has over 300kms on it.
Whats your thoughts?
Thanks
